Over the last years, we have pioneered the introduction
of Grid Computing technology for commercial uses. Working
with our partners,
we have assembled more than a hundred experiences
of business processes that we have grid-enabled for
dozens of customers. In most cases, the results have
been outstanding right out of the box, while in some
others, tests and proof-of-concept projects made us
realize that some improvements were needed, so we
worked hard to improve the capabilities of our product
in order to satisfy the needs of our customers.
Starting with InnerGrid 1.0 in 2001 to InnerGrid V in 2006,
until now, with Fura Enterprise Edition ,
the evolution of our technology has been possible
thanks to the inputs of all our customers. Many of our
customers started their grid projects for their traditional benefits (cost
reduction, application performance, automation, etc..)
or to replace old fashioned cluster management software
and traditional batch schedulers. Fortunately, many
of them have understood the capabilities of our grid
technology and thanks to them, today Fura Enterprise Edition is a product
that serves many purposes beyond traditional Grid Computing,
allowing a new service oriented fully open fabric of virtualization in the
data centers of our customers. Our vision of
extending grid computing beyond the realm of high performance
computing projects is continuously demonstrating its
