Developing new technology, as well as improving existing technology, has to be made in concordance to market needs, but with the right amount of "vision" added to be able to disrupt shortcomings in current technology. Of course, no software product or technology should be developed without its practical applications in mind. In our company, our customers and partners have given an enormously valuable input to improve our product. At the same time, our participation in many European and national research projects, with hundreds of research partners involved, has showed us that collaborating with specialists in each field is a great way to develop and improve our technology. Working with all the players in this wide community, we can improve our understanding of who needs what and why, how it can be best integrated, and the different benefits each player seeks and obtains from it. The results of customer developments, partner integration and research projects benefit all the members in the community, improve the technology deployed, create great technical-commercial partnerships, and, ultimately, the whole society gains from it. Honestly, we are proud of being part of this virtuous cycle.

We envision our Fura Community as a group of players in which each one fulfills an important role: customers, business, academic and research partners are all part of what we see as our Fura Community. Following our Open Source initiative, we wish to nurture a community of involved users and developers that are committed to the development of Grid technology and are interested in our products.
